Migrating an existing clinic
Import patients, history and outstanding balances from a spreadsheet or an existing system.

Import takes a CSV of patients at minimum: name, phone, date of birth and a patient number if you have one. Treatment history, appointments and outstanding balances are separate files and can follow later — the clinic can go live on the patient list alone.
Duplicates are matched on phone number and flagged rather than merged automatically, because a wrong merge of two patient records is far more expensive than a duplicate.
We recommend keeping the old system read-only for a month. Nothing about the import is destructive, and having the original to check against is worth more than the licence fee for those weeks.
